Friday

The tiler has put all the floor tiles down but has a bit more grouting to do and has to grout the kitchen tiles on Monday, we have realised he forgot to tile the wall near the toaster so will get that done on Monday too.

I haven't been crocheting for a few days I thought I should give my shoulders and arms a rest, I had another treatment yesterday and have a little more movement in my arm now - hope it continues to improve.

Friday again

It's good to be Friday evening again, looking forward to two days off.

Hope the tiler arrives Tuesday the concrete floors are not very attractive!

Still rippling on - I am going to buy some green wool tomorrow to liven it up a bit . . . maybe some pink as well

I got my car back today, it has been at the smash repairers - someone backed into the front of it, there was not much damage but it could not be patched so a new bumper bar and grills were needed.

This is what my ripple crochet looks like now

Rippling 4 week mark

I have been doing the rippling crochet for four weeks now, slowly progressing, I have now decided to continue until it is a square to make a knee rug.

We have had 68mm of rain overnight and some more showers this morning, the water runs down onto the cement slab at the rear of the house so we are considering building a low retaining wall just out from the rear covered area and levelling the grassed area so that the water will not run onto the slab.

The four new grevilleas photo as promised we are going to cover this area with sugar cane mulch, we intend to also get rid of some other areas of grass.
the grevillea varieties are "Flamingo", "Just Peachy", "Moonlight" and "Firesprite"

Ripple ripple

The rippling is still being done occasionally.

King Tide

Last Sunday there was a King tide, predicted to be the highest for nine years. We drove to the beach to have a look, expecting to see huge waves but it was all rather calm, there were lots of people in the water and on the beach.

Bit busy

I've been a bit busy and stressed this past week with my new job. We have managed to go for a walk some afternoons and play the Nintendo Wii usually for half an hour or more each night.

The lizards continue to visit, they seem to come for a few days then we don't see them for a week or more.

Bearded Dragon

R has been busy getting quotes for screens and doing other jobs around the house like lots of weeding while I have been at work.

He has a new hobby . . . gardening, I told him that he could take charge of the garden and mentioned some ideas I had which he also thought were OK. Today he got a second remote for the garage, renewed his licence and went to a nursery and bought four grevilleas, compost and wetting agent and felt very proud of himself.

The grevilleas are yellow, red, pink and orange and should be very beautiful when they start flowering, they are bigger than the ones we have bought previously from Bunnings but cost about the same, they should get a good start if we continue to get rain. I haven't taken a photo of them yet but will post one later this week.
