We seem to be in the habit now of sitting out the back around 4:30pm and waiting for the Rosellas to fly in. They arrived very soon after we settled but they seemed quite content to sit in the bottlebrush tree and nibble on the seedpods. A dove came and went a few times it didn't seem very interested in the seeds.
We waited for ages until one Rosella flew down to the ground and cautiously went towards the plate of seed, the second bird flew down later it was obviously the male as it is larger and was doing a type of display near the plate.
