We don't have a toilet in the house at present . . .


but do have one in the garden!!

Floor Tiling

The tiler has tiled the bathroom (except shower) and laundry floors today.

Waterproofing

It rained here for most of the day and all through the night, we got over 70mm.

The small 30 litre laundry tub we bought turned out to be too small to fit in with the floor drain. We took it back and got a refund for it, we ordered another one, 45 litres but not as wide as the old one to give us a bit more space in the laundry.

Brett came here yesterday and put the first coat of waterproofing in the bathroom. Today he came back and put the second coat on. Tomorrow he is going to start tiling.

Alma Park Zoo

We had a great day at Alam Park Zoo. There were lots of trees so we were walking on shaded paths most of the time. It was quiet and very pleasant.

There were various birds, reptiles, monkeys, donkeys, camels, deer, emu, kangaroos, wallabies, dingoes, lizards, koalas, lemurs, sunbears, red pandas, tahrs etc.

There were a lot of peacocks wandering around.

Bird n bee

I had an early morning walk then a wander around our garden and saw this bee busy at work.

While we were having morning tea this common brown honeyeater was also busy.

Shower

R took the wall cladding from around the shower recess, the wall timbers were dry but water has been leaking under the floor tiles so the concrete under the tiles was wet but was drying out as the day wore on.

Bees and hibiscus

We don't get many bees here but I did find one today.

The next door neighbour's hibiscus is growing through the fence so I took advantage of the chance to take some photos of it, it is unusual and very bright as you can see.
